Well manicured golf course and grounds about the extensive clubhouse, chef entertaining, staff accommodating, nice atmosphere, course is pretty flat, good course to negotiate, tee to green impeccable, fellow golfers welcoming... Had a 35pts after 18...first time playing!

Hi guys, Today I report on a „must“ at the Aquitaine Golf region, namely the oldest course around which is located directly in Biarritz. It is called Le Phare due to the lighthouse you can see from a number of holes. Before you get there you better ask for the way to the/a parking. I couldn‘t find one on the club premises by myself and therefore had to find some spot in the public. Secretariat nice and efficient. Driving range available. Getting a tee time was not a problem over the phone. No digital booking system on the club website. At first sight the course appears very broad and open (see foto). It consists of two groups of holes divided by a road. As it is a city course you have holes close to streets and houses which surround the course. Longhitters with consistency problems should bear that in mind, especially as the course is not very long. Here and there you may be tempted to attack, but you surely don’t want to hit it on a road. Greens on the course were good and fast (and significantly faster than the putting green at the club house). Restaurant friendly and high class (as expected at such a course). Overall it was nice to play and it is a kind of historical golf experience, but I have seen definitely better value-for-green-fee courses in the area. Probability of coming back 6/10.

Wonderful green fairways, and perfectly maintained. Yet price is quite expensive) 85€ / round). Drinks are very affordable in clubhouse but 0,5l plastic water bottle is over priced at 2€.

Very good . Service can be slow at times but overall ,great place ,very tasty dishes .

Golf course was average and the least challenging and interesting of all the ones we had visited in the area. No on site parking so you have to park up in street. The restaurant was very good though and we had excellent lunch there.

Great condition, play table 2 of the members who made us feel very welcome.
