This was a wonderful experience. (My wife says it "is better than the Louvre"!) I'm so happy that Mr Favand had both the foresight and wherewithal to preserve all of these amazing attractions from fairgrounds and carnivals of years past. The fact that they still exist is impressive but that they actually still function and you can interact with them is incredible. Highly recommended for both adults and children.

10/10 – A Must-See in Paris! The Musée des Arts Forains was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. We were lucky enough to secure the final two spots on a Sunday English-language tour after booking only a couple of days earlier on the Friday, so I’d definitely recommend booking in advance. The guided tour lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes and takes you through the fascinating history and evolution of funfairs across different eras. Our guide, Libert, was charismatic, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable, bringing the museum and its stories to life from start to finish. What makes this experience so special is the perfect balance of history, stunning visual scenery, music, and unique interactive attractions. Unlike many museums where you simply look at exhibits, here you actively participate. Several of the attractions can even be enjoyed multiple times, ensuring everyone gets a chance to experience them fully and never feels like they’ve missed out. The entire museum feels magical and unlike anything else I’ve ever visited. It genuinely felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience and not something you’re likely to find anywhere else. Even as someone who doesn’t usually gravitate towards artistic or visual attractions, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. If you don’t speak French, I’d highly recommend booking an English-language tour, as the explanations and stories add so much to the experience. A very impressive, memorable, and unique attraction that is absolutely worth dedicating an afternoon to. Highly recommended!

A visit to the Musée des Arts Forains is unlike any other museum experience in Paris—this is not a place where you quietly observe from behind velvet ropes. Instead, you’re transported into a magical, immersive world of vintage fairgrounds, where history isn’t just displayed, it’s brought to life. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by beautifully restored carousels, carnival games, and whimsical attractions from another era. The atmosphere feels almost theatrical, as if you’ve wandered onto the set of a fantastical film. What truly sets this museum apart is its hands-on nature—guests are invited to ride the incredible antique carousels and participate in classic fair games. It’s playful, nostalgic, and genuinely joyful in a way that appeals to both adults and children. A highlight of the experience was our guide, Libre, who elevated the entire visit. With boundless enthusiasm and a delightful sense of whimsy, Libre didn’t just explain the exhibits—he animated them. His storytelling, humor, and clear passion for the collection made every moment feel special and engaging. He created an atmosphere where everyone felt encouraged to lean into the fun and wonder of it all. In a city filled with world-class museums, the Musée des Arts Forains stands out as something truly unique—a place where you don’t just learn about history, you step right into it and become part of the experience.

Do yourself a favour and visit this charming, interactive, quirky and beautiful museum. It was quite a process getting tickets for the English tour (I had to keep checking the website over many weeks) but absolutely worth it. Our guide Libert was just incredible - a real star who brought the museum to life. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience at the museum thanks to our guide, Libert. The English tour needs to be booked in advance and lasts around 90 minutes. During the tour, you hear fascinating stories and historical facts, and you also get the chance to ride the beautiful vintage carousels and play games. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favorite things that I’ve ever done in Paris! Not only does this museum have fantastic art and a wonderful location, but the tour was so much fun. You get to ride three different historic merry-go-rounds, play historic arcade games, and see historic automatons. Líbert was a fantastic guide for the English tour! I had an absolute blast and I will definitely be recommending this museum to everyone I know. It’s been a real highlight on my trip!

Liberté was a really good host. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this place and it made our Paris stay extremely memorable- if you are able to come here, please do! He was extremely charming and we learned so much about Fairground Arts! We booked the English tour about a week in advance :)
