This is a tiny pretty castle South of the city of Tours, where french royalty used to thrive with so many small castles araising like mushrooms. You are welcome along a long alley bordered with high trees |We booked the nuptial room which is a kind of suite with a large bedroom, a large and modern bathroom too, a "boudoir" that is a kind of large entrance before the beroom.|Of course you are staying in a manshuion like in the old time, meaning a wooden floor , heigh ceiling, wide windows ans a wondeful view over the park and the vicinities and forest. |Plus very calm and relaxing with a very welcoming host who wants you to enjoy and feel comfortable.|Breakfast is servind in the large reception area at the &st floor of the castle, very neat and pristine, freshly remodeled but the best is to come, the breakfast by itself.|Easy going but absolutely fresh with local and very tasty goods, a refined choice of teas, almost 12!, local apple juice without added sugar that struck me, and last but not least the upmost wonderful jams selection from the property orchards home made by the owner in huge cooking items on purpose.|What a dream and a very relaxing time
An absolutely delightful stop over en route to Caen from the Alps. Beautiful house and gardens, wonderful hospitality. We enjoyed the pool after a long drive and crepes for dinner at the local cafe. Excellent breakfast the following morning after a sound night's sleep. Conveniently located for a quick morning visit to Chenonceaux. Highly recommended.
We loved the owners passion for his Chateau, he was friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We loved the pool, the breakfast, the grounds, and lots of original features in the chateau - four poster beds, wooden spiral staircases and the traditional breakfast room. Also the village of Esvres was lovely - round of crepes and tradi pizza were excellent for dinner, also if you have kids there is an excellent large park with basketball court and skate park - great for all ages (locates to the north of the village). The interiors might not be what you are expecting in a chateau, but the owners have clearly tried to make it a unique stay!
Amazing place for a stay in the Loire. Stunning grounds and house. Host was very nice and polite. Breakfast was excellent too. Very cool rooms (family suite) jacuzzi bath in ours and an onsite pool. loved it, thank you and Would definitely recommend. Sad to be leaving after 3 days
Wonderfull experience. Great atmosphere, lovely garden and nice swimmingpool. The breakfast was authentique and delightfull and the owners superfriendly.|Good to know that you cannot have dinner here, but there is a small kitchen which you can use and lots of restaurants nearby
Amazing place to stay! Very suitable for family. Breakfast was fantastic, everyone was having a great time.
We spent 4 nights very recently and we could not find any fault about our stay.||The welcoming was really nice. After a 13 hours trip from England in a extremely hot weather, the Lady of the Chateau served us a chilled glass of white wine with few slices of saucisson on the terrace overviewing the park. After all the traffic we faced, the place was so quite, it was absolutely lovely.||The bedroom was absolutely adequate and comfortable. And the breakfast, only thinking about it now I am salivating. First of all you are served in beautiful room again overlooking the park and you have a huge choice of teas, plus of course coffee and hot chocolate if wanted. You have a choice of several fresh French breads, plus croissant or pain au chocolat. You have local and organic fruit juices (apricot is so delicious). And the best of all, you have the amazing choice of home made jams, made with the fruits harvested on the property.||You can of course enjoy a walk in the park and see the wild life like red squirrels, deers, huge fish in the pond and a lot of happy birds in the magnificent trees.||If you stay there, enjoy.
Stopped here for 1 night on our way down to Ile de Re. We stayed in one of the family rooms which had 2 bedrooms, 1 downstairs with 2 single beds for the children & the master bedroom upstairs with a very comfortable circular bed & a luxurious bathroom. We met up with family here and had the outdoor swimming pool to ourselves! We were also permitted to use the BBQ area which meant we could relax after a long journey and the kids could play in the pool. ||Breakfast was excellent and certainly set us up for a day of exploring the area & continuing our journey.||I would highly recommend staying here but 1 night isn't enough!
