GRIMAUD ET GAILLARD

The area is worth a visit if you like a hike or climb as the village and Château is built on a hill. The village is beautiful with old streets and small houses and littlw shops/bars/restaurants dotted all over. There are some very good places to eat and have a cold drink.

Amazing, beautiful Chateau with an event better view! The view is so lovely.

Great views of the village, can see the bay of St Tropez from up the top. Not too much of a walk to get up there either. Some good information on plaques around. Very quiet and peaceful, nice to walk around and have a drink in the village.

Beautiful castle ruins 20 minutes drive away from St Tropez. The town of Grimaud is a quiet, beautiful town. The Chateau is open 24/7, there is no regulation or entrance fee. Three main towers and several walls remain. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I didn't think there was enough historical markers. There were instead QR codes for modern art exhibits

What a beautiful location overlooking the hills above Saint-Tropez. The castle is very close to the old village below and offers spectacular views. The village is also incredible charming and a great place to have lunch and relax.

I visited Grimaud castle at 11pm and I have to say it's way better than during the day. The quietness during the night is superb and the lights on the castle makes everything magical. We parked in a car parking just in front of a lift that brought us up to Grimaud. From 11pm the parking is free.

Charming little town, clean and picturesque, and doesn't feel too touristy either. One of my two favorites while visiting France - we visited in January during low season and oftentimes it felt like we were the only people there, felt very peaceful.
