The Hotel is located on a beautiful location nearby the medieval city. The service at the front desk is very professional and quick. The breakfast is good, everything you need is present. The Hostess at the breakfast room who worked in the hotel for 28 years is perfection. She welcomes you as you are a guest in her own house. Eye for details and also quick service is her second name. The dinner was for our experience not that good , but with a good conversation with the manager we came to a perfect solution. Housekeeping is friendly and cooperative and they do a marvelous job. The room smells clean and fresh. The only thing we missed is service at the poolside. It would be nice if a waiter from the restaurant comes by to serve some drinks. But our experience is a 10 out of 10 Looking forward to visit again soon.

Stayed for one night on a Sunday. I shared a twin bedroom ground floor room with patio door onto the garden and courtyard. Room was fine but not very big. TV tea and coffee provided and pleasant bathroom with a powerful shower. Hotel has a pleasant lounge area and the restaurant is bright and nice. Food in the restaurant was very good and cost for three courses was excellent. Breakfast was also nice with an excellent choice of both hot and cold items. Some of the breads were superb. Most of the staff very pleasant except the night gentleman who told our party of six to be quiet as he was on a phone call behind the bar. Other than that no complaints and hotel in ideal location to visit the castle. Word of advise the town is like a ghost town on Sunday evening from about 5.30pm on first weekend of March with no restaurants seeming to be open.

We stayed in Carcassone on a 2 week road trip with our dog. Many hotels claim to be pet friendly, but aren't very welcoming or don't allow dogs in many areas in the hotel. But at the Mercure, our dog was welcomed warmly - and she could be with us pretty much wherever we were. Staff were amazing with her, and we all had a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the region!

This room is so cozy & clean, the view from my room is serene, & there's even a little cubby for my travel blanket. The staff has been so helpful & accommodating. I would definitely like to come back to enjoy a longer stay here.

Staff were nice and helpful. Allowed us to watch the lobby TV to what we wanted. Really good location of the hotel to the old town. Easy parking which was helpful.

Rooms were very clean and spacious for our family of 4, pool was amazing. But it was also very hot in the room and we could not adjust the AC, which made for a somewhat uncomfortable night. The phone in the room did not work so we could not communicate with reception to ask for fans when we were already in bed. We also could not get into our room until after 5pm as it was not ready, but reception was kind to offer us a glass of wine and allow us to stay an hour longer the next day to enjoy the pool.

Great simple hotel. Super friendly staff. Pool water very cold in early August. Loose dog in hallways which spooked my kids and jumped on my 4year old. Good breakfast and bar service. Poor poolside snack bar (the waiter had no idea what to do). Great room sizes and decor. Noisy hallways at night.

The hotel couldn't be better located, just a stone's throw to Carcassonne castle, and yet very quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms very spacious. All in all, very good value for money
