Very good food and services. My boyfriend and I had dinner at this restaurant. For me, our dinner was the most delicious food that I had ever eaten in France. Thanks to the chef for our wonderful dinner. And the service person could speak English very well and his hospitality was admirable too. If we return to Biarritz again, for sure, we will return to this restaurant again.
Just come for a good steak! Nice laid-back people as well
Vegetarian plate was ⭐️⭐️ only. Tasted only bitter veggie and boring taste overall. My bf hamburger he said was good but the French fries were not crispy enough. Peppers and potatoes starters were good.
We were recommended this place for atmosphere, service and food. We received none of that. I wasn't going to leave a review but this is the second email sent from the restaurant asking for a review. The service was not great, felt we were an inconvenience and any request was eye-rolled at. The main issue was the food we received having asked for it to be medium and the comment from the waitress was "you want it a little pink" which would be perfect yes, not what was received - purple. It was sent back along with a fillet that was the same. We got it back cooked as 'medium', but sides were not replenished so we asked for more fries to go with our food and were charged for. To top it off another couple who seemed to know the chef and waitress were talking at the bar and my friend would have some French and it is understood they were talking about 'the Irish', and looking over at us. We couldn't get out of there quick enough it was very uncomfortable and rude service. We also noted on the booking it was for a birthday celebration clearly nothing was offered to mark this event. The worst dining experience we had in Biarritz unfortunately 😔
The atmosphere may be informal and convivial but the quality of the food, especially the fish, is outstanding. Our bream and tuna were beautifully presented and cooked. Crunchy, fresh vegetables were included in the reasonable price of the mains.
The food is delicious, but the portions are too small. It is a joke; you have to choose between vegetables and french fries. Remember to go for french fries.
Excellent food. We had lovely moules and amazing chipirones. And a great chocolate dessert. To top it off the people were super kind to explain certain intricacies of the preparation of the dishes which I will incorporate in my own cooking. Perhaps is not the flashiest place from the outside, but if you look for a good food experience this is your place
Overall, this is a good, casual fusion spot with a somewhat pub-style menu made from quality ingredients. It’s not a traditional French restaurant—and doesn’t claim to be. Portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable. The green pepper and tomato salad stood out thanks to the freshness of the ingredients. However, the squid and shrimp appetizers felt too heavy and greasy. The fish arrived undercooked, and while the kitchen recooked it and served it as a fillet, the presentation suffered the second time around. In the end, we left a bit disappointed, feeling like we hadn’t tried anything memorable.
