Beautiful house hidden away from the highway and serving good food. Apparently the chef is a woman.|I would recommend some music because the night we ate there we heard what everybody else was saying from the other tables.|The menu was good but a little spoiled by the fact that there are very limited choices of fish and meat and I don't recall seeing organic wines.|This said and compared to what's around, it holds up very well.|The place is also a hotel and the rooms seems to be very affordable.|
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed menu 3 (8) courses in all. Absolutely fantastic and unbelievably good value. Highly recommend dining there.
My family stayed here last night in a room for 4. The hotel was comfortable, the staff welcoming and the food delicious. If we weren't picking up a puppy who is not yet toilet trained we would certainly have stayed another night. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to come back again.
This was our 2nd stay at the hotel, following a previous stay whilst invited to a friend's wedding. We were so impressed the first time, that we were always looking for the opportunity to visit again and eventually we managed to do so. I'm glad that we did!||||First, the accommodation. There is a small collection of rooms on the 1st floor (no lift, two short flights of stairs). The rooms are of a good size, meticulously clean and with nice en-suite shower rooms (big shower cubicle, very comfortable). On one side of the hotel, the rooms overlook the quiet road outside of the hotel and the hills behind it, and on the other side, the rooms have a wonderful view down the valley and beyond. There is no air conditioning but in this old-style building (thick stone, farmhouse-style) it does not get anywhere near as warm as you might think. The windows open wide and you can easily get a breeze into the room. The room is serviced daily and always left in great condition.||||Secondly, the food. Oh, the food. It is just amazing. To drive into the heart of the countryside in France and receive food of such a high standard is a great experience. The menu is mixed, with a collection of both set menus and a la carte options. The quality of what is provided is very high, and it is served with all of the trimmings of a fine dining restaurant - pre-starter appetisers and pre-desserts, for example. There is a good, full wine list and a large selection of both famous and local cheeses is offered as part of the meal. The worst thing you can say about it is that the meal can be quite heavy, so be sure to allow the time to relax and enjoy it fully.||||Thirdly, the breakfast. It is simple, but also very good. The hosts bring a selection of croissants, bread and home-made cake, along with your choice of tea & coffee, along with freshly-squeezed orange juice. ||||Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I must talk about the hospitality. Everyone makes you feel very welcome.
Enjoyed the €23 regional menu - really good food served by friendly staff. The menu comprised an amuse bouche of pea Gazpacho, a starter of Puy Lentils served three ways, the main of brown trout and seasonal vegetables, a cheese course of croquettes of local cheese, a dessert of three home made ice creams and petite fours. The 0.25l carafe of house white was very palatable for €4.50.
My review is simple,I have just booked for June 2014,having been there last year,a place worth going back to,and Gisele(Owner) promised me a cassoulet of escargots(superb)
Excellent Chef - Great and nice team in the restaurant Definitely the best address around
It is definitely worth the 5 stars. Thank you for the great lunch.
