Great location but the accommodation was mean. The room was very basic and unheated when we arrived. Street noise is intrusive and the breakfast staff greeting each other loudly immediately outside the window at 6:30 made for bad sleep.

This a weird review because I loved the staff and how the building is kept. Everything was perfectly clean. I take off a star only because of the building itself and how it is arranged. We were on floor 2 (in the US this would be 3rd floor) and there is no elevator. In the midst of an epic heat wave and an inadequate AC system in the common areas and lugging 2 suitcases up a circular staircase, this was not a treat. I realize the building was almost certainly built before anyone even conceived of elevators, but there are ways of retrofitting at least a dumbwaiter for luggage in such a space. Second the room was exceptionally small, even by European standards. The shower is like a tiny little closet, granted I am a big guy (6'7" and 310 lbs), but I barely squeezed into it.

Lovely little hotel in the heart of Amboise old city. We appreciated the breakfast buffet and communal fridge available for guests to use.

Spent a night there, really convenient location, close to the main streets/restaurants/stores but far enough that you are not bothered by the noise. We rented the 3 people suite, it s really small, but adequate. They accept dogs, which was a big plus for us. Private parking at a really fair price (to be booked in advance, limited space). Good breakfast, refilled at it depletes with enough choices to satisfy all tastes. Staff really attentive. We recommend.

This three star hotel punches well above its weight! Excellent location in the centre with spotlessly clean accommodation. Fantastic shower, fresh laundered towels and such a comfortable bed we photographed the name of the mattress! The staff are exceptionally attentive and cheerful. If only there were more hotels like this. Our room has the quietest air con ever and no noise at all from outside. This is the best value hotel you will find - anywhere. A real gem - so much so we stayed here again on our way home. Please note they have secure parking but you must book well in advance -Amboise can be difficult to find an overnight parking space.

We stayed here during our travels through Amboise in the off season. It was cute and clean. It has everything we needed during our stay and was a very convenient to everything we wanted to visit. I love supporting small business owners. The owner was working the front desk and was very nice

A wonderful hotel with a fabulous location close to everything and just off the main pedestrian precinct. The rooms are cozy and basic, but they have everything you need, including comfortable beds, AC, TVs, coffee/tea, and our bathroom had an awesome shower. We were biking, so we appreciated the excellent bike storage. What made our visit most enjoyable were the attentive staff and owner who want to make sure their guests have a great time. Highly Recommend!

My wife and I were on a Rick Steves tour and the tour guide selected this hotel. It was not fancy, but was in a very good location in town. The staff was very nice. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The beds were fine and the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was good.
