The restaurant is located directly in the Marriott Hotel Lyon. We have been guests there with our company on several occasions. The service is a bit slower for dinner but very friendly and service-oriented. I enjoyed the appetizers. The main courses, risotto or gorgonzola pasta, were also good. But sadly, that was it. There was no "wow" effect, even though the prices are very high. Therefore, in terms of price-performance ratio, the restaurant is more of a no than a yes. However, it must be taken into account that there isn't much choice in the area.
A terrible experience. Two of us dropped into Zucca around 4pm this afternoon. Even though the place was basically empty we had to go find staff to see if we could order food. Once seated we ordered food and two cocktails. It took over 20 mins for the drinks to arrive and a few more minutes for the food. I had ravioli. At E26 for the plate...5 bland ravioli in a horrendous cream sauce. Disgraceful. My friends burger was passable if undercooked. Both meals were sloppy. The waiter was uninterested in the service and didn't ask if the food was OK. Terrible food and service.
Overall a 3...breakfast is where it's at, but make sure you get there early. Later in the day the people are like pigeons and the kitchen can't keep up. Dinner service is a different issue. I've found some of the staff to be rude and inattentive, not all but more than one. The food is okay but it is extremely overpriced. Can they only do a la carte? Why are there no formulas? Are they trying to get by on the unassuming foreigner? Also, the salt grinders never have any salt in them! The wine list, especially by the glass, leaves something to be desired...I just never have a good glass while I am there. Overall, good in a pinch, but there are much better places close by.
We spent few nights in the Marriott hotel in Lyon and had the opportunity to try the room service as well as the actual service in the restaurant. We experienced an extremely professional, friendly and open waiter. We totally enjoyed the time spent on the terrace on a sunny day. The service, food and drinks are absolutely perfect and it was a real pleasure being there. I totally recommend.
It was a good dinner with colleagues but the service was not enough for 5 stars: they took me together the starter along with the main course, you have to wait 20min before a waiter can pass by your table. However the food was very good, I recommend it, nice italian restaurant
Visited 20th October 2019, the Ambiente is ok and the Service friendly... Compared to others restaurants around, real good... However, high end segment Restaurant did not meet expectations completely: — ordered one meal for two plates, did not work — panzanella, bread salad from Tuscany was completely wrong (they just put a few croûton on) — vongole dish had just 7 small vongole in Sorry; there is room for improvement
Decent food. One of the better options in Cité, but if you've got the time I would highly recommend going downtown for some really amazing spots.
We ate here because it was late and this was the only restaurant open in La Cite on Sunday night around 8 pm. My wife stated with Cesar salad and I had Caponata with prawns and a soft boiled egg, both were OK, but nothing exceptional. We followed with Ravioli Veau, (Ravioli stuffed with veal and meat sauce) and Sant Ambrogio (Veal alla Milanese with pasta). Unfortunately neither were up to the standards of a first class restaurant that this wants to be. My veal was overcooked and the veal was lost in the Milanese coating. Then to add insult to injury, two mice scurried across the floor less than 10 feet from our table and the only reaction from the waiter was to close the door to the outside patio so the mice could not come into the inner sanctum.
