We travel around the world quite a bit and this is the best accommodation we have stayed at. The owner Michel and his wife Annie were so kind to us and our kids. The history of the castle is fascinating, as the owner's father rebuilt it with his sons from a ruin to this amazing chateau. It is a work of art. The castle has a moat with lots of carp, a beautiful garden with hedges and little hidden areas, and a tall tower with great views. We saw an owl in the tower which was really neat. The laege medieval suite we stayed in had secret doors, painted walls, a huge stone fireplace, and historic furniture. Just a great way to give the kids an authentic castle experience, but with all the modern amenities (kitchenette and nice bathroom). And we could go anywhere in the castle that we wanted to including at nighttime. It was very private and an immersive experience. If you get the chance go out of your way to experience this castle. Its a great place to stay if you're visiting the french alps town of Annecy, with its beautiful canals and fantastic markets, like we were. And also its close to the massive Chateau Chillon on nearby lake Geneva. Very reasonable price point of such a nice accommodation as well. And fantastic breakfast too! We live a long ways away in Oregon, but we hope to visit this Chateau again someday in the future.

Nice castle, with interesting museum. You can get a detailed guide (description) in English/ French in the ticket office. Easy reachable by car. The video about the history of Savoy is in French, without subtitles, which makes it difficult to understand. Interesting to explore the shields and pictures in the Knights room in the ground floor- you can see the history of the Savoyen army through the centuries. Don't miss to explore all the parts of the gardens, they have some hidden gems like the pergolas and tree hideouts.

What an amazing place! We've been invited to a wedding there and it was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed the atmosphere, well- kept garden and great museum display. The food was excellent and time spent there a truly magnificent adventure. Merci.

This a restored medieval Chateau, really authentic, don't expect frills, though the rooms are really nice, but the place and the hosts make up for it. the scenery for the rooms is spectacular, we could see lake Geneva from our room, 71 steps up a medieval stone staircase was tough going, but well worth it.

Wonderful place for an event such as a wedding. Also, some apartments in the castle if you need to stay the night.
