SCI DU VIEUX PORT

Stunning collection of high quality objects from stone age till 19th century. Vases of up to 11000 years old, hundreds of figurines and other artefacts of ancient cultures, but also local historical and cultural objects. With thanks to Paul marguerite de la Charlonie who brought many of the ancient pieces together and specified how they should be shared with the public after his death. The diversity and high quality of these very old objects is unique. Very friendly reception. The museum was free entrance.

Musée municipal sur deux niveaux installé dans l'ancien hôtel des templiers, dans lequel on peut découvrir des collections d'archéologie régionale et méditerranéenne et de beaux-arts. Expositions temporaires à l'étage. Une belle découverte. L'entrée est gratuite. Il faut compter environ une heure pour tout voir. (+ coup d'œil à la chapelle des templiers située dans la cour : en travaux lors de mon passage).
