Flats available. Great location, the smaller beach is better for couples, though nearer the trees there are a lot of mosquitoes. Wonderful beach and crystal clear water. The hike up the nearest mountain is a rough nature trail but gives a great view of the bay if you make it to the top (see photos)
First Impressions||||We thought the apartment to be right by the beach but instead it was quite a way up the hill. However, the plus point of being up there is there it is much quieter and what a wonderful view of the bay! The apartment itself was very basic but it was clean and comfortable and a sizeable outdoor area for you to have meals and enjoy the view. ||||Parting Impressions||||They could have done a little more to help with the stay, we had to get supplies like toilet paper ourselves as they had only one for the entire stay ... really! Other than that we had no complaints as most things we need were either there or easily obtained from the shops and most of our time we were by the beach anyways ...
We arrived and were greeted with friendly staff. We were then taken to our accommodation. It was beyond disappointing and looked like an abandoned squat that was falling apart. To make matters worse, the sliding patio door showed signs of multiple forced entry attempts and didn’t latch properly. We then asked to change accommodation and the staff were very helpful and moved us to another apartment. Though still dated (and didn’t look like the advertised pictures), the second apartment was far more homely and had a beautiful view of the beach. The second apartment had comfortable sun loungers and was far more nicely furnished. Our only issue with the second apartment was the fact that you aren’t given any hand soap (which I think is standard in most places and a bit stingy to be completely honest). Overall, your experience will depend on the standard of accommodation you are given as they are all vastly different.
The location and view was the best part of the residence. The room was a bit disappointing, especially for the high price. The furniture was very dated. Also, the service was a bit stingy. You get exactly one roll of low quality toilet paper and no soap. Definitely get an apartment with sea view. Without it we would have been very upset.
Me and my family love visiting this residence and been for years. The residence is just a few minutes by foot from 2 beaches and you can go by car to many other beaches. Houses are small but comfortable and in the evening the garden is a nice place to eat and relax. For a nice breakfast you can go by foot to the nearby supermarket and take fresh baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolate.
We had an amazing stay at unit 440 which has a great terrace. Well organized with easy access to the beach of Santa Giulia. Only downsize are the mosquitos in the terrace. Perhaps the residence should try to do more to spray insect repellent in the area.
We stayed 3 nights in our mini villa 431 in early June, to relax over our wedding anniversary in the middle of a 2 week tour of Corsica. We loved the stunning view over Santa Giulia Bay when dining on our terrace. ||Fixtures were modern and there was a good selection of equipment and plenty of plates etc for self catering, without having to wash up after each meal. Great to have a dishwasher and be provided with starter kit of 3 dishwasher tablets, a dish scourer, tea towel and mini washing up liquid. There was a tall fridge and 2 electric rings for cooking, plus microwave (no actual oven). There's a clothes airer on the terrace for drying towels, swim gear etc.||Beware it's a very steep climb (15mins if going up) between this section of villas where 431 was located (just above shared pool) and reception (half way down) and then the beach and restaurants a little further down at the bottom of the road. ||We drove to reception then walked to beach from there one eve to dine out (Santa Giulia Plage restaurant, attached to the neighbouring Michellin starred restaurant, was very good with more reasonable prices than it's neighbour!). ||Villas are spread over a wide area of hillside in different zones and we didn't know where we would be until we checked in - we booked via Booking.com so suggest you contact the resort direct if you have specific requirements.||No hairdryer or bathroom soap or shower gel provided, so ensure you bring these. The resort has responded to my Booking.com review on this point to advise that hairdryers are available from reception, but this was not advised to us on check-in which would have been helpful. ||I DID ask on check-in whether WiFi was available in our villa and was advised yes, and was given the code for that area and told it was also the WiFi for the swimming pool area. However the reality was that the WiFi only had one chip from the very front of the terrace occasionally - the code I think really only works when in the swimming p
Pros: - staff really friendly - very close to the Santa-Giulia beach, about 5 min-all flat - free private parking - little supermarket on site, all essentials present but a bit pricey - bungalows very private, comes with grill and terrace - beautifully decorated, modern, recently refurbished, had all the required cooking utensils, towels, tv, dining table, toaster, dishwasher (they provide a few of the tabs), washing machine (didn’t use it) - tennis court and swimming pool - little village style site Cons: - wifi almost nonexistent, but helps to disconnect and focus on other things. - tight check-in window: 4pm -7pm - it was required to clean the grill before checkout but no cleaning utensils were supplied
