Horrible stay! There were small ants everywhere in the entire room, no air-conditioning so it got (and stayed) very hot inside (even during nights, since we also didn't want to have mosquitoes, which was also a problem here), 2 lights were not working, fridge wasn't working properly, ... Should I even go on? Beware to arrive in time because the reception isn't 24/7, they closed at 19h and so did the pool. We wanted to go for a swim at 20h since the sun was still shining, but they already closed the pool. Breakfast was very basic. The interior of the rooms and rest of the infrastructure is very basic, only the essentials. We had a family situation which forced us to go home earlier as planned, we didn't get any money back from the accommodation and arranging everything was not going smooth... You can not pay here by card normally, as you would at other accommodations or hotels... Road to here was not very well maintained and when we arrived it was not clear to us where the reception even was! Huge mess. Would not recommend. Also they provided us with a dirty fan to "cool the room" but it was full of dust, dirt and I guess it hadn't been cleaned for ages... It even smelled bad...
Hotel from hell! The hotel is in a beautiful setting in the grounds of a vineyard. That’s the only positive thing to say. The reception is only open at limited times, the pool is tiny for the number of guests, the rooms are just awful and not been decorated since the 70s I believe. Tired, run down, ripped curtains and dirty walls. Ancient bathroom and felt like prison cells. We had booked the family room which comprised of a main door into a hallway with two separate rooms. A great idea in principle but the rooms were just dreadful. So bad that we’d booked and paid for two nights but only stayed one. Had we not had a long drive from the uk - we would not even had stayed the first night. We checked in and reception advised the restaurant was open from 7-9, no need to book. We had a table, few drinks from bar ( friendly barman) and then went into dinner around 8. Was shouted at by a member of staff that we couldn’t come in! He didn’t speak English snd our French was limited but he basically said no tables inside. It was half empty and we said we’d eat outside and had a table. He then said there wasn’t enough food. It was a buffet and there was lots of food. Then he said we didn’t have a ticket. We explained ( with help of google translate and a helpful French lady) that we’d arrived that afternoon and reception hadn’t told us to book/pay in advance. We had two tired, hungry children and I said we’d happily wait until just before 9 when they closed so everybody with tickets had eaten, and we’d eat what was left. He was rude and just shouted and waved in our faces. We’ve never felt so humiliated, our children were embarrassed and we would have left immediately but it was too late to find somewhere after driving all day. We left first thing in the morning - even though we lost money on 2 nights - but couldn’t stay any longer. The rooms were depressing, dated and it really felt like the manager just didn’t like us as we were English. I strongly advise not to stay here -
Firstly the room photos are nothing like the real thing, we booked two adjoining rooms that had not been decorated since the 1970s, drab, dirty and ugly. Luckily we had only booked two nights and with no other options after an 8 hour drive we had to stomach it. ||We arrived at 5pm and sat outside for a couple of drinks before we were told we could go to dinner at 7.30pm. At closer to 8 the 4 of us (2 adults and children) went through to the buffet area, however to our dismay the officious restaurant manager firstly told us they were fully booked and we did not have a table (we had been sitting at a table for 2 hours!). He then took great pride in telling us that we needed to have booked (whilst we had been told by reception that we could pay in the restaurant). This was a half empty buffet with plenty of food. Whilst he was telling me that they would not feed my family he took great delight in smiling and sneering at us. This was a totally french crowd and being the only English people we felt very uncomfortable, so we were forced to leave to try and find a restaurant locally. I would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy.||We immediately complained to Hotels.com who were totally useless, so much so that we left the next morning at 8am to find another hotel at a further cost to us of over 200 euros. ||This the worse hotel experience I have ever had, all Hotels.com offered us was a 50 euro voucher. We feel that they sold us the rooms under false advertising and I will never use hotels.com again.
Nice place, suitable for families with kids,. swimming pool is in the hotel area. Breaky was at good level. Shower cubicle was perfect, spacey. Close beach with parking few meters far. But we missed air-conditioning at the room or any recuperation, we also missed soap orjand gel at the handbasin, there was shower gel in the shower cubicle, but fixed to the wall. We had a room at ground floor and when we let open the balcony door, we had a lot of grass and dry leafs in the room.
No cooled air, no fan. Mosquito starving everywhere. Appartement are to warm, not adapted to mediterranean life style. Noisy apartment. Single bed only... BTW, food is OK & people kind.
Reasonable, clean accommodation good plentiful food. Great for cyclists and walkers.
