The garbure at Auberge des Pyrénées should be listed as a national treasure. It tastes like the very soul of the mountain. Generous portions at a reasonable price, certainly worth a winter pilgrimage.

We loved the Auberge des Pyrennees! We were looking for traditional and local food and we found it there. Excellent garbure and a very nice menu with homemade pate de campagne, poulet a la basquaise and tarte aux prunes. Everything was satisfying, very copious and reasonably priced. We arrived a bit late but they stayed open for us to have dinner (which was very thoughtful of them and very much appreciated). We ate in the little courtyard filled with flowers and surrounded by the Pyrennees! The owner was very delightful and took good care of us. She explained to us that her grandmother opened the hotel/restaurant 50 years ago and her, along with her parents run the operation: from taking care of hotel guests to making food from scratch!. We will return for sure when we are in the area.

CAMPING - Camped here for one night while doing some cycling in the area. They have a small area for tents and basic but clean facilities. Lovely location, right on the route for Col Du Tourmalet. The owners were really easy going and relaxed, there was no rush to get the tent packed up early which mean we could get out early on out bikes and decamp after. Didn't try the resturant but it looked great Thanks for a lovely, relaxed stay

We had dinner here and absolurly loved it. Lovely old world charm, superb authentic French cuisine served with a smile. Reallt reasonable prices too...

Turning away hungry tourists is rather rude. There were plenty of people in the restaurant. Two more would not have affected you. I’d advise not doing that in the future.

Very nice place friendly staff small card which is mostly an indicator for fresh food that is served fast. Staff speak english not that good but they try.

3.0 Sandrine Christophe

Big portions but average food. Service long and somewhat unfriendly. In my opinion, overpriced for what it was.

4.0 Richard Fedrick

Delightful hotel in a perfect location. Great food in the restaurant.
