Nice location, quiet, lot of trees on the camp site for shadow. Small swimming pool and 2 slides ideal for kids
Having travelled down from Brittany|Using several sites my French whilst not great I would class myself as willing and wanting to speak French and giving it my best. Upon arrival we were greeted by the “face of camping Garron” Madam Not all Brits voted for Brexit….I said In French) several times for 3 nights to be asked 3 times how many nights we wanted then finally told only one night with no options considered. We booked at the restaurant and had a nice meal with friendly staff. Towards the end of the meal the face of the campsite came in and wandered the tables chatting with the other sadly we missed out on the ambience Madam radiated. I get the feeling Madam does not like the English and I’m happy that I don’t have a similar stereotypical view of the French who I have to say I have predominantly found willing to assist/encourage my attempts to speak in their language. Stick a sign up if you don’t want the British and we will take our €€to a campsite that does. Certainly we won’t visit again. Maybe she was on a bad day? However having read other reviews her surly manner was mentioned several times and I agree.|Take your Business to another more deserving site.
We stayed at Camping Le Garrigon as our first family vacation along with my in laws. We went here on recommendation by my father who comes here for many years and loves the camping and the staff. The camping is located near Grillon, a small town in the Vaucluse of the Provence in France and is very close to Valreas which has a lot of shops and supermarkets. In the surrounding area a lot of towns such as Nyons and Orange can be found with a rich history. The nearby town of Grignan is also very nice with it’s artisanal market and beautiful castle. The camping has traditional camping spots where you can set up a tent or place your caravan/camper and two large buildings to do the dishes, toilets, showers and even washing machines and dryers. Everything is clean and spacious. The camping has 3 swimming pools, 1 for the smallest children, a large outdoor pool which as several slides which are fun for the kids and a pool which can be indoor and semi outdoor. In this pool the water is warmed and you can even relax in the jacuzzi. All the pools and their surrounding areas are nicely kept and look very modern and clean. Because we were at the camping near the end of the season the restaurant and bar were a bit quiet but we had some drinks and ordered fries several times, which tasted great. Because we drive an EV we were very happy that the camping has a EV charging spot. It’s no fast charger but very nice to be able to charge the car over night. We stayed at mobile homes with the Mont Ventoux view. These mobile homes are located on the outside of the camping and have a lot of privacy next to an amazing view and a large spot to park your car. The mobile homes were clean, have everything you need and are spacious enough for a family, especially in the summer. If you ask the staff you can borrow a plancia to BBQ at your mobile home. All in all, we can highly recommend visiting Camping Le Garrigon whether you come with a family or if you just want to relax.
Very pleased. Having been camping in France for over 10 years and visited over 50 different campsites, this is definitely in my top 3 sites. I was really pleased with the over all environmental quality. They got the simple things right, like a gravel path leading to the mobile home rather then the usual dirt path. There was enough for all to do without things being 'tacky' or unpleasantly overwhelming. I will be definitely be back again
We were going to only stay for a couple of weeks but ended up staying a month! Lovely clean facilities. Lots of hot water and friendly staff. |Be mindful of the northerly mistral and choose your pitch carefully. Short ride to the bakers and a small PMU bar. Surrounding area is flat for cycling and there are many villages of interest close by
Perfectly sized campsite if you want to find some calm even in the middle of summer (not easy here in the south). Mobile home was very clean and comes with AC which you will appreciate. Plenty of fun to be had for the kids. I will definitely be back.
The staff is unfriendly. If you don't speak French, you don't get the same treatment. They are very short-tempered. They have a 'security' guard that walks around the camp site at night to check. This is a regular thing haha, even when there is no noise or enything The campsite itself is beautiful and so are the surroundings. Too bad about the staff.
Great family campsite. Perfect size. Calm and quiet yet plenty to keep the little ones busy. We are having a great time here!
