COMMUNE DE MAIZIERES

We loved our overnight stay at Abbaye de Maizières. Our room was up a fair few steps on a spiral staircase, and the reception/lobby bar sits in a wonderful, cool cellar-type space. We didn't eat here, simply because there are so many options in town, but the place itself is lovely and special — you really do feel the sense of history. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we found a spot on the street nearby with no trouble. The gentleman who looked after us is a real gem — into his cars, and he made our stay memorable. Thoroughly recommended. Just make sure you're happy with a bit of a climb if you end up with a room at the top, like us! 🤣

Great location & stunning lobby area. Disappointed we weren’t allowed to enjoy a bottle of wine purchased in Beaune in this lovely space. Room was very small and lacked the character of the history of the building. Breakfast was fresh & enjoyable.

Amazing venue in an old abbey. Little tricky if you have mobility issues. Our suite was incredible with fabulous shower, great living room, comfy bed. We also had access to a courtyard with tables Breakfast was great with omelets croissants and baguette. Lovely people. Location is within 4 to 10 minutes of the sites and several fabulous restaurants Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay , loved the ambiance, the staff was friendly and attentive. Loved the breakfast, we lingered enjoying every moment. We will definitely return

This is a beautiful hotel that is very central in old town Beaune. We stayed in the room, Clos de Vougeut, and it was very large and beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Beaune. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel, so please take that into consideration if you have mobility difficulties.

We loved the charm and beauty of Abbaye de Maizières. The location is perfect, our room and lovely and well laid-out. We would love to return for another stay.

Characterful hotel in 900-year-old building with pool, right in the heart of Beaune yet also very peaceful. Room was clean, bright and well appointed and has air conditioning -- essential in summer. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you're on the top floor, as we were, be prepared for a real workout on the spiral staircase! Plenty of (paid) parking on the street nearby.
