Where to begin? This 18th century palazzo style villa is hidden behind a tall wall with the original wooden door and knocker to greet you. Behind the door is an oasis of calm with high ceilings, original frescos and floors and the kind of deco and comforts you might expect in a five star hotel (seriously bougie toiletries). Breakfast is simple and excellent coffee, pastries juice and French style fried eggs taken in the palm sheltered garden. I had no opportunity to use the pool but it is nestled elegantly beyond the terrace. The rooms are superbly comfortable and the location is close to trains and buses which take you to all the major sites of the south of France. I was here for a festival in Cannes and it was 15-20 mins door to door to the palais by train. There is a small restored chapel in the grounds and uncountable architectural features which have been restored. Highly recommended and a big thank you to the team there who gave me such a warm welcome.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It's abt 10min walk to the train station, which gave us quick access to Cannes. Breakfast was basic but nice- breads, pastry, egg, fruit, pancake, tea/coffee. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The cons, for me, however: 1.The toilet, whilst private- didn't have a door- which was a bit uncomfortable - perhaps a curtain at the very least- some people, like me, prefer to do their business privately. 2. The walls are thin- we could hear what was going on in the room next door; 3. Unfortunately there isn't a lift- so walking up stairs with luggage was not the easiest, esp. at my age! 4. There wasn't a tea/coffee station in the room- would be nice to have one, in case you feel for a cuppa. Other than that, we had a great time here and will probably book again, if we come through next time.

Unfortunately, our stay here was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. From the start, the welcome felt unprofessional. On arrival, I was scolded for speaking too quickly in English, then rushed to view the room and immediately ushered to pay — no help with luggage, no information about parking until I insisted, and overall no genuine hospitality. There was also a misunderstanding during our stay that was handled very poorly. Rather than resolving it professionally, the owner made us feel extremely uncomfortable and even booked something under her own name, which is highly inappropriate for a hotel. A guest should never be put in that position — it should have been dealt with discreetly and without confrontation. Room upkeep was also inconsistent. Some days fresh towels were forgotten, and every afternoon we would return to find that someone had entered the room simply to open and close the windows, which felt unnecessary and intrusive. On top of that, nothing was preempted — we had to ask for absolutely everything, from basic services to small essentials, which is not what you expect at this price point. The “hotel” is in fact the owners’ home, something that is not made clear on booking. Their young daughter was constantly present and even reprimanded us at one point, which was frankly inappropriate. There were no basic amenities (not even a kettle in the room), cracked tiles in the bedroom (I cut my foot), and the pool loungers had no padding. For the price, this is absolutely not boutique standard. Some guests may enjoy this style of family-run accommodation, but be aware that the owner takes things personally and reacts emotionally, making it very uncomfortable if you are unlucky enough to get on the wrong side of her. We would have checked out early had we not already paid upfront. This was one of the strangest and least professional hotel experiences we’ve ever had, and we would not recommend it.

A perfect bed and breakfast nestled between Antibes and Cannes. A 5 minute walk to the train station or the marina/beach! The attention to detail throughout the entire hotel was so good, every corner was beautifully curated. We had a lovely breakfast every morning made by the hosts. Virginie was very fast to reply and communicative over email when booking. The rooms were spacious and the air con was ideal with the heatwave we experienced while we were there. Overall we highly recommend and hope to be able to go back one day!!

A Hidden Gem on the Coast I absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful boutique hotel nestled in a quaint coastal town. I spent three nights in La Petite Maison accommodation —a charming, poolside guesthouse with its own outdoor seating area, kitchen, and dining space. Tucked away on the side of the property, it offered the perfect mix of privacy and tranquility. Every detail—from the house itself to the serene pool and the delicious breakfast—was superb. The hosts were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. It’s the kind of place that gives you the comfort and elegance of a five-star hotel, but without any of the formality or fuss. A true gem—I can’t wait to return. Thank you for having me!

❤️ Virginie, Laurent and Charlotte From the very first moment we arrived, we felt at home. Your warm hospitality and attention to detail touched us deeply. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated with great taste. Everything is organized and perfectly clean. Breakfast was wonderful, the coffee excellent 👌 The well kept garden and the pool with the pink swan made us smile every single time 😍 All the serving dishes, and especially the plate collection, are so charming 🌟 The hotel location is perfect 👌 The beach is just about 5 minutes walk, the town is full of great restaurants and cafés, and the train station is only about 3 minutes away very convenient for getting to Nice, Monaco, etc. On the mirror in the room it says LOVE LOVE ❤️ That’s exactly how we felt during 9 amazing days 🤗 We will definitely come back again and again 💫 Sigal & Hanan ❤️

The best boutique hotel I stayed in Europe. La Bâtisse en Blanc is just amazing, like a dream. A 150-year-old mansion filled with charm, beautifully restored with incredible attention to detail. Everything is peaceful, elegant, and perfectly cared for. The rooms are spotless, the garden is lush, and the breakfast is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s in Golfe-Juan, just 10 minutes from Cannes, yet it feels like a quiet, hidden escape. Laurent and Virginie are wonderful hosts who make you feel completely at home. I didn’t want to leave.

If I could give 10 stars to this accommodation and people who run it I would. This boutique hotel is a real oasis, wonderful escape from crowd and busy work/school life. Everything is even more beautiful in real than on pictures. Every single corner is a piece of art. The building is so romantic, decorated with taste and love. Every small detail perfectly matches the rest. The room was spacious, clean and perfect to get rest after beach or great pool. The breakfast was delicious, we even had a dinner which was sublime. But what this place makes absolutely fantastic are the owners. Such warm, calm, hardworking, nice people who treat you like an old friend and make you feel so welcome. You can feel with how much love and passion they do this work. I lot of regards to this wonderful family and of course cat:-) I hope we will visit the hotel soon in the future. All recommendations! Love from Sandra, Matthias & Luna
