Very friendly and helpful staff welcome you at this brilliantly restored museum in an elegant palace. The permanent display is well signposted and a useful journey through Spanish art. It's true there are few Goya paintings, but we saw his characterful engravings of bullfighting. I was pleased to catch contemporary French artist Bilal Hamdad on show. Really worth a visit!

Museum showing paintings and other works by Goya and other artists. Well presented and easy to navigate. There are stairs and a lift, inclusive for disabled.

A wonderfully set out art museum. We spent over two hours in here. I did not know much about Goya it was a great learning experience. I would like to visit several more times and sit for an hour at a time in certain areas and take my time to actually look at the exhibits. Another artist whose works are also on display Damien Deroubaix very impressed by his work. It’s such a wonderful place not overwhelming easy to get round very friendly staff. Well worth the time

A hidden gem in Castres, Occitanie! In a totally renovated palace created by architect Mansard of Versailles fame and gardens by Le Nôtre of same fame! Inside, a wealth of Spanish Art well organized and displayed chronologically, an excellent audio guide together with written notes in each room make your visit worth. Leave two hours to enjoy it to the maximum.

Wonderful new museum in Castres. Very helpful and friendly staff. All rooms had descriptions in French and English ! The building, the garden, the paintings and artworks were all great. Definitely visit Castres to visit this museum!

Very similar exhibition space to the Toulouse Lautrec exhibition in Albi. Lots of smaller rooms featuring Spanish artists. Well worth a visit.

Very rich spanish art museum, they have paintings for Goya (you can find Goya's biggest painting), Velasquez, Pablo Picasso and mush more. I recommend it, it took me 1h30 min approximately
