VILLA RENAISSANCE

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful with several seating areas to enjoy the landscape. Staff was attentive and offered us niceties. The room and bedding were cozy and encouraged relaxation. Breakfast was amazing- beautiful fresh fruit, yogurt, crepes, breads, and they will make you eggs. A place I look forward to returning to.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the breakfasts were great, offering all you'd expect. The town was just twenty minutes' walk away. Free parking. I was on the top floor in a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The hotel was quiet when you wanted it to be. Helpful staff. No complaints

Arrived after a drive from Santander, quite easy to find, but not in the centre of things. The rooms were really nice, spacious and clean. We walked into the town centre which took about 25 minutes, which is fine after a long drive and allows you to sketch your legs. The map in the room isn't very clear, so just follow the signs for town centre. We ordered breakfast in the morning at 12euros each. It's a European breakfast and is well presented. The private car parking is good and had no issues. Bayonne is a lovely town with really good food, as you can see from the photos.

This is a wonderful hotel - more like a B & B. We stayed for two nights. The grounds are beautiful and it is so quiet. Although it is located on the edge of town it is only a twenty to twenty five minute walk to the center of town. If you need to drive into town there is plenty of parking as well as a parking deck. Our room was upstairs in the attic - very spacious, cozy and beautifully furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our window had a view looking toward the town. Bayonne is a lovely town with many wonderful restaurants. Breakfast is the mornings were delicious.|| I want to thank the proprietor for her gracious hospitality. Upon arrival my wife was not feeling well and I tried to ask (in French) where I could go to buy some soup and fresh fruit. By the time I went to get our luggage from the car and return to our room the lady had brought my wife a small pot of homemade soup. After eating the soup and a good night's sleep my wife was feeling much better the next day. It was truly a kind gesture. We highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel.

My wife and I stayed for four nights in this delightfully comfortable accomodation. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the room (suite 10) was very clean and the outside terrace a surprise. This charming little retreat was a great relaxing place to rest our heads after the drive down from Poitou Charente. Close to the old town (less than 5 minutes drive) with its bars and restaurants but far enough away to avoid the hussle and bussle of the noise and crowds. Air conditioned rooms and off street private parking made this hotel very accomodating.

We only spent one night at this hotel (on our way back from Portugal to Provence) but our stay was pleasant. The room was large and clean, very comfortable. Check in was fine. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Coffee was poor - it tasted like instant coffee... One thing to note - to pull luggage in from your car to the hotel, it's crushed rock so not an easy task - but a minor issue... Probably the biggest negative for me was the musty smell of the towels. They needed to be bleached or replaced. You smelled of mildew after using them. The bathroom did have a lovely big tub and a shower which was nice. Overall, I'd recommend (other than the musty towels).

We came as a family and the staff managed to be very flexible to arrange a family suite for all of us. This newly opened hotel located on the hill above Bayonne provides nicely decorated rooms, and big swimming pool and a very nice and quiet terrace. Very recommended if you come in the region to stay few days as you are close to all the nice places (Biarritz, Guetary or Bidard). Special kudos to our breakfast hottest who made it great!!

Great two night stay at Villa Renaissance, made extra special by the smile and hospitality of Aurelie. Stayed in one of the loft rooms with a terrace - great bed, lovely terrace and wonderful decor. Walked in Bayonne - easy 20 minute walk - for all the delights it has. Great breakfast with local produce and perfect scrambled eggs.
