We have been using Solidor for over 15 years and are an approved installer of their range. Having been in the industry for over 30 years, I am very selective about the products and manufacturers we choose to work with, and Solidor has consistently proven to be a reliable choice. When issues do arise, Solidor work with us to support the customer and resolve matters properly, which is exactly what you want from a manufacturer. They control their manufacturing process, resulting in a solid, well engineered product with a strong focus on security, performance, and longevity. The build quality and finish stand out compared to many composite doors on the market. We currently have five Solidor doors on display in our Orpington showroom, and they remain one of the most popular options with customers. Overall, a well made, secure product backed by a manufacturer we have trusted for many years.

Solidor fitted August 2015, they come with a 10 year warrenty mine failed catastrophicly, see photos where it has split in 3 places across the bottom, water ingress. Called customer care, dismissed the failed door stating it's out of warrenty by some 7 months. I think it's called reasonable expectation that a product last beyond the warrenty period. Expensive door that failed, solidor not interested. Leaving me no option but to leave this review and contact trading standards. Be warned, you dont always get what you pay for. Customer service do not want to know.

Update to our issue with Solidor… 9th July 2025. Following this review being posted I was contacted by Masonite (Solidor owner) who have offered to replace the slab. It’s taken since March but I’m pleased the issue is going to be resolved. We had a Solidor fitted in 2017. Cost £1700. Now it’s cracking badly. “ Due to sunlight, expansion and contraction”. I contacted Solidor.. No response. We contacted the insurance provided by the fitters. No joy! It’s a front door !!!! If it can’t stand UK weather it can’t be fit for purpose. I would expect a bit more durability. Solidor promote their 10 year guarantee ( with the supplier not the customer) My advice . Don’t touch Solidor with a barge pole !!!
