We visited this for a few days at the end of our trip. The campsite is massive and on a steep hill surrounded by the pretty Ardeche countryside. There is a small shop on site, pump track, basketball courts, pentange, small children’s park, inflatables and more. The stand out feature is the pool area-great for older kids and teens. We do feel it could do with more for older kids in the way of an assault course, we’ve been to other sites with large metal climbing frames with nets etc for teens. If the weather is great it’s fab you might struggle if it was wet.
We stayed at Le Pommier (Ardèche) for 17 nights, towing our caravan all the way down, and even with torrential rain on arrival the check in and access were straightforward with no issues at all. From the first day it was obvious this is a well run, clean, and properly organised campsite, with staff who clearly know how to manage a busy site without it ever feeling chaotic.||The standout feature, without question, is the pool complex. It’s genuinely brilliant and was perfect for our three kids aged 8, 7, and 5. There is loads to do, plenty of space, and it kept them happy for hours every day, which is exactly what you want on a family holiday. The overall atmosphere around the pools was great too, and the site facilities in general were consistently clean and well maintained.||We also found the bar and food offering excellent. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and everything felt reasonably priced, especially considering the quality. The food on site was superb, particularly at the clubhouse restaurant, which became a regular go to for us.||A quick mention on the hill, because it’s always something people ask about. Yes, it’s big, but unless you have mobility issues, it’s absolutely manageable. In fact, we turned it into a daily challenge for the kids by timing their sprint up the steep section on the way to the clubhouse, which was both entertaining and a very effective way to tire them out before bedtime.||Location wise, it’s a mix of convenient and remote. Having an Intermarché directly opposite the entrance is a massive bonus, and the campsite connects well onto the faster roads, making it easy to explore the region. That said, it is fairly remote, and there isn’t a huge amount immediately nearby. Most outings are around a 30 minute drive, which we expected and didn’t mind at all, but it’s worth flagging for anyone who prefers lots of attractions and towns on the doorstep.||Evening entertainment is geared to the main demographic on site, so it
We stayed for a week in zone G in the spa mobile home. The accommodation was very spacious as 2 mobile homes together on your own terrace with a spa. |Our 2 boys aged 14 and 9 enjoyed the water park daily and all the other free activities (table tennis, mini golf, pump track etc). We found the whole site to be very clean and well managed.|We stayed the last week in August and even though full, we didnt have any issues with it being too busy. |As boys were entertained it meant as parents we got some relaxation time. |Only downside was check in as took over 40 mins and then mobile was not ready. So we had to return for keys later in the evening and it wasn't ready until 6.30. Although the reception called the following morning and gave us 30E of vouchers as an apology which was a nice touch.|In summary a great campsite for older children and we can't wait to return.
Excellent park for families. So much going on including entertainment in the evenings at the two bars. There any many activities going on through out the day such such as the bouncy castles, the animation team, competitions as well as external activities as the hut. ||English is spoken by all staff that we spoke with so this was a positive too. We stayed with Eurocamp this year but are returning next year staying in the rentals owned by the parc. This booking process has been simple via email. ||The pool and surrounding bars/restaurants were great too. The food was ok and fine if you want to eat in your swimwear etc. I think they could offer some filled baguettes or similar because it was only paninis or nuggets and chips. The waterslides and choice of pools were excellent. It never felt super busy other the pirate ship area but that was simply because its the toddler/child area. The whole complex gets really busy from 4pm onwards. ||I would say that there are a few areas that need rejuvenation - THE MINI GOLF !! The courses are in need of a desperate upgrade/repaint/ resurface as its unplayable at present due to the poor surface ( yes I take minigolf very seriously :o) ) I don't think it would take much to resin or tarmac the courses. ||All in all, I would highly recommend this park to anyone; excellent facilities, helpful staff and beautiful location. Its on a hill so views across the valley are very scenic. We look forward to coming back next year.
The chalet was in very good condition and clean in a lovely environment surrounded by trees. We asked for two items to be replaced (the grill and and a knife) and this happened very quickly. The air conditioning worked well. ||The swimming pools and slides were just big enough for the amount of guests - but could not accommodate any more people. There were plenty of inflatables in good condition, the queues weren’t too long. Also, there were just about enough chairs around the pools. The life guards were excellent: there were quite a lot of them and they did a great job of being strict. I was amazed that the children rarely ran next to the pools! The lifeguards had trained them not to by using whistles and therefore few children had cuts and grazes. This meant my sons didn’t run to get ahead of other children either, and hence no injuries all week. The lifeguards weren’t nervous to be firm with large groups of teenagers and this made the atmosphere at the pools enjoyable and relaxing for everyone which is so important for a holiday where the main activity is a water park.||The pump track was fun, but needed more bikes and scooters available. The zip wire was good too. The staff everywhere in the campsite were very helpful, friendly and polite. ||The payment wristbands were useful and a good idea. ||The kiosk staff were very helpful. We booked canoeing through them. ||We ate at the main restaurant twice, which was good. Also, we had take away pizzas once which were good. ||The salle de jeux was good and not too busy even in the evening. ||We played pétanque - plenty of pitches to play on.
Absoluy terrible out ac turned off after 5 minutes of running, when we arrived at our home there where multible hairstrands on out matresses half the dishes were still dirty also 9/10 days that we stayed we had almost no watter to shower or wash our hands. I wouldnt recoment this for anyone if ur looking to book this please look at alternitives.
Had a wonderful time at this campsite. Great accomodations, amazing aquapark and many things to do! Only small negative is the very big size of the campsite. (But there’s a train going from a to b)
We had an overall enjoyable stay at Camping Les Pommiers. The welcome was very warm, with a staff that was always smiling, attentive, and efficient, which greatly contributed to our positive experience. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, although we found them a bit too close to one another. The campground offers a wide range of activities, which is a big plus, including a fantastic water park that delighted both children and adults. The surrounding area is also full of things to do and see, allowing for a variety of experiences. However, there are a few negative points to mention. The campground is very noisy, largely due to the high number of guests. This is especially noticeable at the pools, which quickly become unpleasant because of the crowds. It might be a good idea to reserve one pool for adults only, providing a quieter space for relaxation. Additionally, the majority of the guests are Dutch, and some of the entertainment is offered in Dutch, which can be frustrating for those who don't speak the language. Another major downside was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, forcing us to purchase international SIM cards to stay connected. This is something that definitely needs improvement for a campground of this caliber.
