Horrible, horrible customer service!!|I was part of a group that arrived at around 9:40 p.m. We were all tired but still formed a proper queue to the ONLY elevator. Suddenly, the front desk clerk let 2 persons cut the line!! One of the guests claimed that he's a VIP because he paid more for the room!! We are guests, too!! The front desk was unapologetic!! Very very poor customer service!!
Rooms: the room was clean, with nice view over the river. The windows are poorly insulated. So the traffic from the street is quite loud. Breakfast: The breakfast was terrible. The baguette was frozen inside, the scrambled eggs from a packet weren't fried and were runny. Staff: The staff is friendly.
The hotel is well located and has excellent staff. The public areas are pleasant. Cycle storage in a locked conference room. However, only 3 stars as I probably would not stay again. My room overlooked the internal courtyard. There was a continuous load humming noise coming from the courtyard throughout the night, even with the window closed it was enough to disturb my sleep. The other annoying factor was the hotel placed a 120 euro security deposit on my credit card before arrival and I am still awaiting it's return.
Perfectly suited for large groups with fantastic service.
It was definitely not a perfect stay, but the staff was so helpful and attentive to my needs it is absolutely unfair to rate them anything less than 5 stars. The hotel itself feels a bit old, and the air conditioning feels a bit too strong for my taste, but the staff helped me adjust it many times, helped me change rooms, and were constantly worried I was having a good time. It was really appreciated, specially for a long stay like the one I did! Do mind the parking lot. It is not impossible to use, but big cars are an absolute no-no: there's JUST enough space for parking, and while I got used to it after 2 weeks it was a real challenge at the beginning. The breakfast was great, beds were comfy (albeit the sheets continued to be a battle to get right). One specific complaint: the toilets are way too high up, I could not put my feet on the ground! Regardless, great staff and attention. Would stay again, despite all problems!
Outstanding service and customer care... I mismatched the two ibis hotels of the city. The person at the reception spent spontaneously a lot of energy in cancelling the wrong booking. I got a room with a wonderful view. I could extend the checkout one hour just calling 30 min before the time limit. Everyone has been very kind and helpful
Five stars staff from front desk to bar to cleaning. This is the main strength of this Ibis alongside the excellent location. Walking distance to the most important artery of the city extending to the train station it also has a nice outdoor area to have breakfast and/or a drink. The staff, especially Elodie at front desk is very helpful and can serve as a tour guide. The rooms are basic, but clean and relatively spacious. THe breakfast is delicious and a lot of local products are provided. The highly energetic staff cater for any needs one might have and they are always generous, offering complimentary perks with meals and orders. The in-house food is also a good option if too tired to visit a restaurant. Will be back anytime in town.
The staff are really helpful and polite. The rooms are a good size and I definitely made use of the coffee machine. There's plenty of options at the bar and there's a nice seating area out in the courtyard, which I definitely took advantage of. Location wise, it's not terribly close to the train station (as I found out my first stay last year), but it's like 10 minutes walk. The town itself is chockablock with various Roman architecture, other historical buildings and gorgeous churches. I highly recommend having a wander! I did end up just leaving the window open at night because the AC was set to heat at 26°c and the controls are locked. To be fair, I forgot after the first night to bring it up.
