Fantastic large outdoor market that is set up under cover in Antibes. The market is open from 7:00 to 13:00 everyday except Monday. Fresh fruits and vegetables are available, along with spices, flowers, cheeses, jams & jellies, olives and so much more. We shopped at the market on a Thursday and bought fresh vegetables for a salad that night. The stalls are packed with a variety of food and service is excellent. Some of the stalls are cash only, best to ask if they take card before purchasing your order. One customer picked up a tomato from one of the stalls and was quickly confronted by the stall owner who proceeded to yell at her for a very long time. It is requested that you do not touch the produce, but ask the stall owner for assistance. Worth a walk through.
Disclaimer - I love food and markets! This market had everything delicious. We bought French olives, some fruit, amazing blue cheese, a baguette, and other beach lunch tasty items. There were gorgeous flowers, spices, fresh meats and more too.
Great market. There is not a lot you can do in Antibes so I think Marché Provençal worth a visit. It has many quality fresh produces and some food/ lavender related items to buy as souvenirs. There are restaurants on one side of the market as well. You will probably walk through it anyway while your are heading to the main/high street
An absolute must visit in Antibes. A small, beautiful provence market, 6 days a week (closed Mondays). There is wonderful produce; fruits and vegetables, cheese, meat, flowers and more. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants surrounding the market to sit, have a drink and people watch. It can get very busy in the summer! Get there before midday to make the most of it.
Interesting rather expensive and one of the most popular market on the French Riviera where its stalls are spread out under the magnificent metal market hall in the old town. The market is lined with bars, restaurants, and shops selling regional specialties. Ideal for a bite to eat after shopping !
My most favorite Marche in the South of France for spices, teas, fruits and food. Super colorful and unique. I love it!! Flowers!!
Fresh local meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese , flowers, you name it. It's full of color. Pictures tell it all.
A market that breathes the true spirit of Provence. The Marché Provençal in Antibes is, for me, one of the most authentic places along the Côte d’Azur. Early in the morning the market hall fills with an atmosphere that is impossible to imitate — a blend of southern French ease, craftsmanship, and the feeling of being immersed in everyday life. What sets this market apart is its sincerity. There is no staging here, no artificial charm — just genuine Provence. The stalls overflow with everything that defines this region: fragrant herbs, ripe fruit, flowers that still carry the morning air, olives in endless varieties, cheeses from small local producers, fresh fish from the nearby harbour, and artisanal specialities that speak of origin and tradition. The producers welcome you with a warmth that feels natural, not performed. Many have been here for decades; they speak with pride about their harvests, their methods, the stories behind their products. This human connection is what makes the Marché Provençal so special — it is a place where shopping becomes an encounter. The sounds, the colours, the scents — everything merges into an atmosphere that can only exist in the South of France. Time moves differently here. You stroll, you look, you taste, you talk — and suddenly you realize you have become part of a way of life that is rich in its simplicity. For me, the Marché Provençal in Antibes is a place of character and culture. A market that reveals how much beauty there is in the everyday. A place I always return to with joy. My favourite market — rich in tradition, inspiring, and full of soul. Avec vous · Avec passion · Avec Éric
