My experience opening an account with IG was excellent. The entire process was completed within 24 hours, which was impressively fast. The follow-up from Nicolas was proactive and efficient, ensuring everything moved smoothly from start to finish.
This trading platform is excellent for various reasons (prices, ease of use, training, diversity of products, etc.). However, I want to note that on the rare occasions that I have required customer service (e.g. transfers of funds), the IG team have been very reactive and have also creatively solved problems (for example, I once sent funds to the wrong bank account). I wish my usual bank performed as well.
They are good, and their service feedback is timely and serious. I have trusted your professionalism for many years.
In my view it is a fraudulent platform. They change terms continuously, to force deposits (i.e. they sell margin requirements that are NOT true). They also block the platform during peaks of volatility (inventing technical issues), especially when you have positive trades open, to prevent you from realizing it at the right moment. In a nutshell, it is a trap. They are market makers and they do anything to steal your money. Do not trust them.
