This is a fairly typical Tourism Office setup along Quai du General de Gaulle just a few minutes walk from the main street below Château Amboise. Felt very much like other tourism offices we found throughout the Loire Valley with many brochures for chateaus, wineries and other forms of tourism in the region. There is a selection of boutique style merchandise and staff on hand who can help answer questions you might have. A useful stop if required.

Really helpful, staff are great and loads of information on the loire valley. Worth dropping in if you don't know the area and want some local knowledge

Staff were reluctant to organise a taxi and insisted we try and call the taxi cabs even though the phone menu was in French. Eventually they helped but only after we tried 5 different companies without success. There are no taxi stands in the area so I think the staff here could be more helpful from the start.

Our train was delayed, which caused us to miss meeting up at the tourism office for our all-day tour. The kind lady at the tourism office went out of her way to contact the tour operator and arrange for us to meet her at the next stop. She also called taxi companies for us to help accommodate our aging mother's needs. She was very kind, helpful, and professional. My correspondence with the office prior was responded to promptly and courageously as well.

Nice people, but the local attractions have made it very hard to decipher what passes, etc. you should buy as a tourist. We ended up buying a package and determining afterwards that we should have bought individual venue tickets based on what we could do during our 3 day stay in the Loire Valley area.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very helpful. I highly recommend a visit to find out everything that is available to see and do in the area. There is so much to see and do.

A big thank you to Melodie, (hope got your name right), at the Tourist Office. We cant thank you enough after you got us out of the Market car park so we could catch our ferry. Feeling like stupid tourists, when our camping can got locked in with no way out, you arranged for local police to remove height restriction setting us free, even asking for confirmation we got out.
