It's smaller than the famed Leroy Merlin but so much more client friendly and service oriented. Big sister should learn from this smaller relative.

This is my favourite place. I'm one of those men who feel like a kid in a toyshop when entering a tool's palace...

I went to Weldom yesterday to buy an irrigation product. It is a material that absorbs water and releases it slowly over an extended period of time. We sought help but don't speak much French. It was impossible to locate anyone to help us and when finally I asked the woman at the cash counter, do you have any English speakers here? She thought for a moment and the pointed to a man stacking shelves. Him, maybe. The man confessed to having some English but had no idea what we were looking for and was too busy to leave his station and help us look. After this, in desperation we rode over to Monsieur Bricolage. It is a much smaller outfit with fewer employees but this time the woman at the front desk directed us to a man u loading a truck. He wore a bage saying operations manager. His English wasn't fluent but he made a big effort. We talked and mixed about what we wanted. He took us to his much smaller gardening department and began picking up the various boxes and reading the instructions. Eventually he found the product algoflash naturasol. It was exactly what we wanted. I know where we will go next time.

Just what I’ve been looking for. As a new expat to southern France Weldom has been my go to for DIY projects, home improvement/repairs and yard and garden. People on the floor are helpful and friendly. The cashiers are mostly unhelpful and unfriendly, no customer skills. One was fantastic but on other visits it was shocking. Small but decent supplies and better than nearby competitors. Phone customer service is helpful but their information is completely different from cashier information. Frustrating! I would only recommend if someone urgently needs something.
