I flew retur from Sydney to new caledonia, noumea with Aircalin. Limited flights unfortunately. Check-in and baggage allowance good. Staff friendly on board. In-flight entertainment good. Cabin was clean. Full flights with mainly locals few actual tourists. In flight food was normal airline fare. Wasn't bad but nothing to rave about. On time no delays. Only 2.5 hrs flight so quick and easy. They did offer alcohol on board during meal. Not a lot of choices to get there but I wouldn't hesitate to fly again.

Can't complain, a very good airline,on time, and comfortable. I did have a hiccup with them, though. For some unknown reason, they cancelled my flight. They sent me an email with my respective new flight and a new itinerary for my connection flight. I suppose, as any other airline, would have done. They did not inform me about my rights. I have to go to their office in Noumea, and only then. They informed me about procedures for refunds. Hopefully, I'll get refunds

We never heared of this airline before but stumbled acrosd their flights because ours with other airlines in the middle east got canceled. Great Experience and excellent Service! What a nice surprise.

Truly way too expensive for plane tickets and the staff aren’t really helpful at all. On the first occasion, my flight from Sydney to Noumea last November got delayed and then cancelled, and they refused to give their customers compensation for it. All Airlines are supposed to respect their flight schedules, and even if the condition was out of their control, customers should always be taken care of, and compensated for unexpected changes made to their flight. Today, one of my family member went to the Aircalin office to ask if she could make a small change and book her in for the next flight that is scheduled to be ON THE SAME DAY but only a few hours after. When she first tried to book her flight, it was written as it being scheduled at 1:40pm, but as she made the payment and got sent the electronic ticket, it was now scheduled at 8:45am. She wanted to make that change since it was unexpected and she really wanted to fly at the same hour as me who’s going back to Sydney on the same day. However, the staff at Aircalin said we have to pay an extra 7500XPF (around AUD$100) which is way too expensive considering she wasn’t changing the day of her flight but the hour. She already paid a hefty amount for her ticket and didn’t want to pay more so she left the premises unhappy. I genuinely think Aircalin needs to take into consideration their customers a bit more. Many who left a review were dissatisfied of their service but it doesn’t seem like the company cares or would do anything about it. Their flights are already expensive as it is, so the least they could do is provide good service.

I flew with Air Calin on their Hibiscus (business) class from Noumea to Tahiti yesterday (2 July 2022, SB600). Massive queues in the check-in, staff which treats passengers differently, lack of information. The departure of the flight was delayed by 3 hours, first because of the late arrival of the plane and then because of a technical fault. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the business cabin which is on par with those in other airlines. The other major part that this airline is lacking is customer-focused service. The cabin crew did the absolute minimum in providing any assistance during the flight and came across the least genuine and sympathetic cabin crew I encountered. For instance, due to the original flight time, breakfast was scheduled, but out of approximately 20 people in business class, only a handful were able to get eggs for breakfast. Cabin crew will give you a big non-genuine smile telling you that you had no choice on what you eat, and honestly pancake is not my thing. There was 4 pieces of fruit that were the poorest in terms of quality so I ended up traveling hungry for the 5 hours of this flight. So the score for Air Calin is: Ground operations: 0 Cabin layout and quality: 1 Cabin crew customer service: 0 Food and entertainment: 0 Punctuality: 0 It is appreciated that they operate a niche market, New Caledonia, however, a company’s reputation in delivering customer service is the most important thing ever. I will be choosing Air New Zealand in my trip to Tahiti.

The customer assistant in the office of Aircalin in Nouméa was extremely helpful in altering my flights. She was kind enough to speak slowly and put up with my French (pretty basic)! Excellent customer service. Thank you 😊
