4.0 Xenia

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Martinez and do not regret choosing it. The pool area is excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the food from the menu was consistently very good. That said, in my opinion, the hotel is due for some renovation. The reception area feels rather dark and underwhelming, and the small floral arrangements seem somewhat out of place considering the room rates and the hotel’s reputation. The rooms could also benefit from refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms, which feel dated. Service was generally acceptable, although there is certainly room for improvement. However, this is the South of France, so expectations should probably be adjusted accordingly. The beach club is pleasant overall, but I was disappointed by the menu. There isn’t even a classic club sandwich or French fries available, which feels like a surprising omission for a beach club, as these are fairly standard items many guests would expect. Despite these points, we had a lovely stay. The location is fantastic, the pool area is one of the hotel’s strongest features, and Cannes is always a wonderful destination.

We had a 5 night stay to celebrate a special occasion. We usually stay at The Carlton but had a ‘Guest of Honour’ reward available for a Hyatt stay so thought we would experience what it’s like to stay at The Martinez and be treated like one of their most loyal and valued customers…||Guest of Honour redemptions can receive upgrades up to a standard suite level but even though these were available we were given a premium room with partial sea view. ||Check in was efficient and friendly and we were walked up to the room. We mentioned our reason for staying and the lady suggested she would arrange something special for us for the following day but nothing materialised. Probably best not to say anything if you’re not going to follow through as it just caused disappointment. There was a bottle of Taittinger was waiting in the room as welcome gift along with a note which is a nice touch. ||The room was good overall. The air conditioning was excellent which isn’t always the case in other hotels. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and in relatively good condition with usual signs of wear. The shower was disappointing as it was just a shower head in a bath rather than a walk in rain shower. There was a bit of noise from the bars/clubs on the opposite side of the street (we were 4th floor). Turn down service was disappointment compared to other 5 star hotels we’ve stayed at. ||Breakfast was mostly excellent (and included as a guest of honour benefit) with a generous selection. I would have preferred for egg dishes to be made freshly rather than part of the buffet and maybe they could have been ordered but nobody ever asked if we wanted anything other than coffee. ||We had drinks on the outdoor terrace which is a lovely spot. When we were there service was slow but friendly and the cocktail (margarita) a bit watery. We didn’t drink there again. ||It can get busy at the front of the hotel as there are only really 3 parking spaces and a drop off area yet they le

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, with easy access to beautiful, clean beaches. The cooperation with the staff was outstanding, making the experience even more enjoyable. Saeeda the receptionist, she was both helpful and professional, made a positive impression. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the cleaning service was impeccable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great getaway!

After coming for the Cannes Film Festival, we were absolutely not disappointed by this iconic hotel in Cannes. Despite the crowds and the busy atmosphere, we received an incredibly warm and exceptional welcome. The service was truly excellent. Security was so present that we genuinely felt safe throughout our stay. I will definitely return every time I come back to Cannes! And a big congratulations to the valet staff, who were very kind and attentive, the service they provided was outstanding.

We would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Hôtel Martinez for making our stay so memorable. We had an incredible time! The view from our 4th-floor room overlooking the sea was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed delicious lunches at the beach club, amazing dinners, and the wide variety offered at breakfast each morning. The bonus Bloody Mary at breakfast was such a fantastic touch! A very special thank you and big hugs to Suzanna at the front desk, Vanessa, Elias, Catherine, and Cartline (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) from the breakfast team — she is from Ireland — as well as Thong from the restaurant. Even though I cannot remember every name, from concierge to housekeeping, every single staff member was outstanding. The hotel’s seafront location is perfect, and the Old Town is just a pleasant 25-minute walk away. We will definitely be coming back!

Wow!! I am blown away by the kindness of the staff at this hotel, especially the group working the concierge desk last night and this afternoon/evening. I am not even a guest here, but was robbed of my passport as well as other important belongings. I turned to this hotel in a frenzy and they charged my phone, let me use the restroom, and even provided us with a map to the police station. This team truly went above and beyond to help me and I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate this assistance. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to Cannes just so I can stay here, and am excited to promote this hotel to my clients as well. THANK YOU!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I stayed at Hotel Martinez for a trip that was half work and half personal, and honestly I was hesitant before arriving because it wasn’t the Carlton. I had kind of assumed I’d regret not staying there. After this stay, I was completely wrong.||From check-in, the experience was great. Mathieu checked me in and walked me through everything, showed me where the restaurants were, the meeting spaces, spa, pool, and took me up to my room. It felt welcoming instead of transactional, which a lot of luxury hotels can be.||The room was really well done and the bed was one of the more comfortable ones I’ve slept in in a while. Also, after almost a month travelling around Europe, this was genuinely the first hotel where the air conditioning actually worked properly. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but if you’ve stayed in multiple European hotels recently, you’ll understand. If you set it to 15°C, the room actually gets cold.||Maxime from concierge was another standout. Every request I had, whether recommendations or help with something, he was accommodating and helpful.||Breakfast was included with my stay and was excellent. The location is also hard to beat. Being directly on La Croisette means you’re close to everything and it’s exactly where you want to be in Cannes.||I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels for work and personal travel, and Hotel Martinez ended up being one of the more memorable stays. I went in thinking I’d prefer another luxury property in Cannes, but now I’d probably book Hotel Martinez again without thinking twice.
