The pub has been taken over by a couple of young lads who want to bring an authentic feel back to an Irish pub abroad. Reopened on July 12th to a large crowd and fine summer weather. The interior has been done very well with the same flourishes that one would expect of a bar back home in Ireland. There’s a wonderful mid-level room, almost like a snug, with sofas and armchairs, perfect for small private evenings. And it might be that the lines are brand new, but the Guinness was the best I’ve tasted in 8 years in Quimper. Their newly opened status means that they need to work out how to show Gaelic and Hurling, as that’ll be a staple requirement of the summer tourist crowd but it’s on the agenda. Live music is planned and they’ve a great setup to accommodate. They’re also eager to learn about what they can do to improve their offerings, which is always great to see. All in all, it’s a pub that never really attracted me but with the new management and renovated style, gets this Irishman’s seal of approval and I look forward to visiting again.

Super ambiance lors d’un bref passage sur Quimper, à l’origine pour un café et après avoir découvert une bière locale et la chaude ambiance de cet endroit tenu par Jean. J’ai finalement opté pour un apéro agrémenté d’une sérieuse discussion autour du 7em art à laquelle ont pris part Jean le maître des lieux, son cousin ancien membre de l’endroit et supporter du Rugby club de Vannes, Lionel « l’ancien » , Breal ( désolé pour l’a peu près) et consorts. J’ai abandonné mon projet de découverte express de Quimper au profit de cet instant nourri de culture ciné et BD 👍🤘 Merci les gars, il est certain que je passerai vous rendre visite dès que je remettrais les pieds sur le sol de Quimper 🍻🥴 PS : Mention spéciale pour la saucisse au piment 🌶️ d’espellette ainsi que pour la Filou 🤘

Pour les amateurs d'échecs, vous pouvez venir le mercredi soir à partir de 18h30. Une sorte de tournoi dans un bar accueillant et chaleureux. On peut y jouer contre tous niveaux.

Très sympathique, l'ambiance est super et les patrons sont très professionnels. Une rareté. Je reviendrai.
