Second year in a row skiing here. Most people we met have been multiple times here, which speaks to how wonderful the place is. No cars, no traffic, just snow, skiing, food and drinks. Everyone is very friendly across the resort and supportive of begginer skiers too. The resort is vast and links to Port de Soleis. No significant lift queues... 10/10
Beautiful resort in the French Alps! Skiing for all levels. The horse-drawn sleighs are so lovely, but the drivers never seem to know where you are when you call. It's a fun experience when you can get it, but it's tough to make a reservation. The trail maps could use improvement also. Restaurants here are plentiful and really great! They have some terrific ski shops too. Ski Land has beautiful items for sale and the staff is extremely helpful.
I would put 5 stars for the pistes and the waiting time of the lifts but I wasn’t happy at all with the escalators not working (only a few hours worked in a weeks time) and I had to carry a baby a kids ski and our equipment up 4 big staircases to Atria Pierre de vacancies. Otherwise the ski resort is nice
Ski resort... simply huge, but not only that. Large and diverse... something for everyone. Especially the Avoriaz section. From wide slopes like motorways to small, varied discoveries of great descents. The ski resort also offers accommodation where a packed sandwich is easy on the budget and yet provides a warm and dry space. Great.
Fantastic ski resort, we caught the last week of the season with 25c sun yet still plenty of snow. The regional skiing is super great variety of slopes and plenty to explore including the Swiss Wall which is a must do for any competent skier! The village is car free - walking, skiing or horse drawn sleigh is your mode of transport. Everything within a few minutes walk. Ski lifts all easy access, everyone is ski in/out. Great selection of restaurants and a good vibe. Higgly recommended.
Beautiful place. Car free. You can spend several days here ski a lot, do cross country skiing and if there is enough snow also snowshoeing. When we were snow was iced, it didn’t snow at all. But good sun. U can escape the big city and chill there. It just full of people so if u don’t know how to skii good its a little bit difficult how to avoid people. Food is normal. We found much better places in morzine. I recommend to stay in morzine and then go up with car until parking or use gondola or bus as parking is crazy there and always full. U will loose a lot of time just standing on the road.
Great time at Snowboxx in Avoriaz. Lots of big wide blue slopes for intermediates. You can quickly nip across to Switzerland too.
Good ski resort with many options for all levels. Some runs can be cramped depending the time. Has also a lot of post ski events like bars, swimming and some other events
