Joaquim was an excellent tour guide. He picked us up near our lodging and gave us a great narrated tour in English along the trip. We had requested to see the monasteries of Alcobaca and Batalha and the Templar Convento de Cristo in Tomar. Each one was unique and beautiful in its own way. He explained the history and what we were seeing and showed us so many little details that we would have missed otherwise. There was plenty of time to take pictures. He knew the best place to stop for coffee and lunch. Very comfortable ride. An extremely enjoyable experience.

I did a day tour of Alcobaça, Batalha, and Tomar with Quim with my friends/family, and I have to say it was one of the most informative and efficient tours I’ve ever been on. We spent 5 days in Nazare in the beginning of May. We had two separate days of tours with Joaquim. The first, a car tour of Nazare where Joaquim led us on a history and traditions of Nazare and the surrounding area as well as meeting some of the folks of which he seemingly knew all. Two days later we did a full day tour of the monasteries in Alcobaca, Batalha & Tomar. Absolutely stunning!!! - not to be missed. Joaquim's in depth knowledge and passion for the area, the people and the ways of life both past and present, made both days with him absolutely wonderful. The half-day trip to Fatima with Joaquim was a magnificent experience. He introduced us to the origins of the country, and also explained the soul and philosophy of the Portuguese people, everything was done in a deep and spiritual way. I am blown away by the experience of the Monasteries Tour. The soul and philosophy of the Portuguese people was explained in such a deep and spiritual way. The iconography, the symbology, the hidden ancient meanings, the history of the sites, all of it resonated with me and met me where I am on my path. It was a fantastic tour, the best of my life. And to think that I ever considered going via bus to check out on my own! I can't recommend Joachim and Alma Nazare Tours high enough.

Very Best, Day spent in Nazare. Joaquin was the best guide. So knowledgeable. We went to Alcobaca Monastery, Batalha Monastery, and Leira castle. The sites were amazing and Joaquim could be trusted on any trip. He is very good driver and lots of fun.Thank you for a great day which we will never forget.
