Beautiful location. About 600 - 700 m to walk from the parking area to the start of the path that goes around the tip. Takes about 30 minutes to walk around the tip. In early October there was a lot of space to park. No services other than a restaurant that was not open in the morning. The tower on the mainland side was under renovation in October 2025 and surrounded by scaffolding.

The best (super)easy walk you can do from Ajaccio. Follow the shore, you have a safe large sidewalk till Scudo, then you can still safely walk on the side of the road. Punta Parata is well worth a visit, fantastic panorama without climbing difficult heights. Bonus: you save a LOT of money by admiring Les Isles Sanguinaires from here instead of navigating to them with an expensive boat. As of August 2025 the tower is not accessible.

One of the best places to visit nearby Ajaccio. Very close by car with a pretty big parking place (paid). Easy to walk around with the right shoes. You’ll see amazing waves and the beautiful islands around. There’s even a cafe nearby. The drive there is beautiful, along the water.

Torra di a Parata is a ruined Genoese tower located on the west coast of the island of Corsica, France. The tower sits on a rocky promontory, the Pointe de la Parata, to the north-east of the Îles Sanguinaires archipelago. It was one of a series of coastal defences constructed by the Republic of Genoa between 1530 and 1620 to stem the attacks by Barbary pirates.

Well worth the 20 minute bus ride from the centre to the tower. Some walking paths around the tower but the views are beautiful. Only downside is that the tower is currently under renovation which means you cannot go up there which is a shame.

Right now the tower is under reconstruction. But the surroundings are great. Lovely nature with views on islands that are tinted to light red under sunset.

Go there at the sunset. This place alone is the reason to visit Ajaccio :) To get here you need to leave your car at a big parking place (free) before restaurant and then walk another 20 minutes, nothing too hard and the view is totally worth it.
